Our Nam Hong Caring Heart Program（南凤爱心关怀服务）expands further with the addition of the new centre. A patient’s recovery is not solely based on medical treatment, the progress is also very much affected by their environment and mental health. As most of these patients with long-term ailments face challenges in other daily activities, we seek to address these concerns in order to provide a more holistic recovery progress.
One of the ways will be to help ease their burden on daily necessities. Apart from our usual ration distribution, we will be launching a nationwide food ration pledging project this coming September. NHWSS will be working with schools and companies to purchase and pledge dry rations for these elderly, where the items will be placed in the mini supermarket at our new centre. These elderly will be able to visit the supermarket on a monthly basis and shop for the necessities that they require.
